At Regent College London, we offer two main study modes to suit the needs of our students: Full-time and Part-time.
We understand that flexibility is key for many students, and we offer two delivery modes to accommodate varying needs and preferences.
Our teaching is delivered in the following modes:
Full-time study requires students to commit to a higher number of hours per week, which includes both teaching and independent study. This mode is ideal for students who are able to fully dedicate themselves to their studies and complete their course within the shortest possible time frame.
For UK students, full-time study may allow eligibility for full student loans through Student Finance England, covering both tuition fees and living costs, subject to meeting residency and other eligibility criteria.
For international students, full-time study is mandatory if studying in the UK under a student visa. International students must meet the visa requirements of attending all classes in-person.
Part-time study allows for more flexibility, making it ideal for students balancing other commitments. Students would study for a shorter number of hours per week compared with full-time, including both direct teaching and self-directed learning, allowing them to complete their course over a longer period.
UK students opting for part-time study may still be eligible for partial student loans, covering tuition fees and possibly limited maintenance support.
International students must study full-time and attend all their classes on campus, as required by UKVI regulations.
In-person delivery means that all classes take place on campus at scheduled times. Students attend lectures, seminars and tutorials face-to-face with their lecturers and peers.
For international students, this is the primary delivery method for full-time study, in compliance with UKVI rules. This method ensures an immersive learning experience, with direct access to teaching staff and campus facilities.
Synchronous delivery involves real-time, scheduled classes held online. Students engage with their lecturers and classmates via virtual platforms.
This is an ideal option for students who require flexibility but still prefer structured learning. It allows students to attend lectures from any location while still benefiting from the structure of live, scheduled sessions.
Please note: This delivery mode is not available to international students studying on a student visa, as they are required to attend in-person classes in the UK.
Blended learning combines both synchronous and in-person sessions, offering flexibility without compromising on the quality of interaction. In this mode, students attend some classes on campus, while the remainder of the course is delivered synchronously. Our approach to blended learning combines in-person delivery with synchronous sessions, in line with the OfS guidance.
For UK students, this can be an excellent option for those who need flexibility due to outside commitments, while still benefiting from face-to-face engagement.
Please note: This delivery mode is not available to international students studying on a student visa, as they are required to attend in-person classes in the UK.
High weekly commitment
Depending on the chosen programme, full-time students are expected to engage in a certain number of study hours per week, including a mix of in-person, synchronous and independent learning.
On-campus attendance
Regular attendance in-person for both UK and international students is required to meet visa and educational requirements.
Faster course completion
Complete your course in the shortest possible timeframe, typically within the standard course duration.
